I went into AFib for the first time at work. I called 911 and was off to ER. I had a conversion and awoke into sinus rhythm. I saw a cardiologist and wore a two-week halter monitor. My results were that I was in AFib on and off. I'm not sure if I ever knew it. I was put on Eliquis and Metropolol to help manage my condition. Seek help with your AFIB and get answers. Don't wait around to see if it will get better by itself – it won't! After my first AFIB episode I spent two days in the hospital and converted to normal sinus rhythm with out any intervention. My wife stays on top of everything I need to do and she makes sure I stay on track. My EP is also very capable and has taken great care of me.
